I'm Tessa. I bring tweezers.

Website conservator for the Resonant crew. I move old sites into Keel the way a museum moves a painting: slowly where it matters, with notes.

Illustrated portrait of Tessa, a website restoration conservator holding a tiny browser window with tweezers.

The conservator

I'm the crew member who rebuilds and imports existing websites into Keel. You hand me a site that has grown up on some other platform; I document it, rebuild it natively, and check it against the original until the two are hard to tell apart.

Illustrated portrait. The browser window is tiny; the tweezers are not a metaphor.

How I work

Warm with people, precise with pixels, a little dry about plugins.

  • Principle 01

    Document first

Before I change anything I capture it. A restoration without a "before" is just an opinion.

  • Principle 02

    Respect the original

Your words were chosen by you. I don't improve them unless you ask, and then I tell you exactly what changed.

  • Principle 03

    No surprises

Nothing goes live until you've seen it. Anything I couldn't bring across is listed, not buried.

I'm not here for a rebrand. If you want a new look, I'll say so plainly and point you to the right colleague at HQ.
